The last year was particularly challenging for everyone. According to your experience, what were the key OPPORTUNITIES and THREATS for organizations?

The new workplace is changing constantly, with that, the way we recruit and maintain top talent is facing a series of changes. Besides, economic shifts, technological advances, automation, and globalization are under siege in the work environment. The key opportunities for the organization in 2021 and threats are the same if the organization doesnÂ’t keep up the pace.

  1. EMBRACING DIGITAL WORKFORCE WHILE PRESERVING CULTURE - One fine day the world moved from physical workspaces to virtual set up. After working in this model for a year, we are reaching a hybrid model where employees want to have the decision making in their hands of choosing their work-place option. The biggest challenge is to preserve the values and culture of the organization in this dynamic working scenario.
  2. GREATER FOCUS ON EMPLOYEE SAFETY & WELLBEING - In 2021, the growing demand for employee safety, health, and well-being in the workplace will prevail. Mental health disorders, burnout, and occupational tension have been common over the last decade. This was further compounded by the pandemic as the line between work and home dissipated.
  3. GLOBALLY DISPERSED AND DIVERSE WORKFORCE - Over the decade we made progress towards a global workforce and a gig economy, this trend has been intensified by the pandemic by leaps and bounds. Diversity is not only of gender but generation, geography, culture, and abilities; the entire globe will be the playing field.
  4. EMPLOYEES RESKILLING - Companies now need to ensure that workers are reskilled to the needs to the future. More digitalization, convenient and faster ways of executing the traditional activities will be of key importance not only to remain relevant but also for businesses to expand and prosper.
  5. COMPLIANCE SPOTLIGHT - Businesses will search for ways to streamline compliance-related activities to alleviate the pressure on HR and functional departments while leveraging assistance as the regulatory landscape becomes more competitive and new legislative reforms are implemented.
